Our High School Senior sessions are fun and exciting. It's about remembering this time and your favorites things to do during your school years. To help it run smoothly, we hope you take some time to read through the information we have included.
Boys
WARDROBE
The right clothing allows your face to dominate the portrait. For this reason we discourage busy patterns and bright colors in your clothing. Shades of black, brown, blues, grays are always safe.
Never wear a lighter colored pant with a darker colored shirt, it will make your bottom half look larger than your top.
Choose varying styles of clothing. Normally 1 formal, 1 semi-formal, 1 causal and 1 sportswear is a perfect choice. E.g Dresses, sweaters, Jumpsuits, school sweatshirt/jersey, and textured garments. Jackets can be added for a completely different look • Include tie and hats to add more different clothing looks.
Wrinkles WILL show up in your portraits. Iron your clothes if necessary and bring in on a hanger. Make sure your clothing is clean.
Your senior portraits are only going to be as good as the combined effort of your photographer and you.
Also, keep everything ready and change as quickly as you can so that we spend more time clicking than changing.
WHAT TO BRING
If you chose a non-mini session then please bring extra outfits. That way we can help pick outfits that are more flattering.
Props are welcome, bring as many and whatever you like to be included in the picture. E.g. If you play or like music you can bring an instrument with you.  If you play sport or have any other hobbies, please bring those items to incorporate it into some of your photo.
Can bring your gown too if you want some pictures in that.
Poses: Search and checkout google for poses and can bring some of your favorites. If not, we can definitely take charge of the posing, no worries with that.
SHAVING/TRIMMING
Boys should make sure to shave or trim their beards.
HAIR
Don’t use a lot of hairspray, gel or other product in your hair, unless you want just that look.
SHOOT TIME TIPS
Try to be prepared to change outfits quickly, during the shoot. That way we can spend more time shooting than changing.
Have props ready for quick access.
Have a friend or family member come along to help fix hair and clothing.
GLASSES
If you wear glasses make sure they are anti-glare/reflective. Refections in the glasses are almost impossible to remove. You can bring sunglasses too to get some variety.
EXCEPTIONS
Of course, there are always exceptions, if your favorite outfit in the world falls under any of these categories, bring it and we’ll use it for a few poses.
Above all, be relaxed, and enjoy the shoot.
